My new Garmin Forerunner 305 that is! I took it for a test drive this morning. I only touched on a tiny portion of its potential for my run which was the tracking of time/distance/pace. I have so much to figure out yet, like why was it making those swirlie noises every now and then and how to program it to do 10&1 alerts. I'm amazed at how it picked up the satellites immediately and continued to perform even when I run underneath the Crowchild overpass. I like knowing exact details and today's are:
Time: 51:40 min
Distance: 8.18 km
Pace: 6:19 min/km
My friends and family acknowledge my passion for lighthouses! More wonderful gifts! Adventure Seeker hosts her weekly T.G.I.F. Photo Friday post and this is my contribution today!

Great gift! I think the Garmin will help you with your training and provide you the challenges you need to meet and exceed your running goals for 2009.
ReplyDeleteGarmins are awesome! Have fun with it.
ReplyDeleteGreat gift! On the vitamin D, my mom said it doesn't matter what temperature it is, just as long as it's bright sun (not cloudy). Ideal is 10 minutes daily sun exposure to face and forearms. But if you live further north than Chicago, you might want to consider a Vit D supplement in the winter (this all comes from Dr. Oz and one of his "YOU" health books).
ReplyDeleteI have the 305 too, now I cannot run without it. Usually it also works under the buildings. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLove the 305 but I've put it into semi retirement for my 405..
ReplyDeleteGreat run!!
ReplyDeleteIt's great having the 305 to run with, adding a whole new dimension to runs with all the stats that come with it!
