We were not as adventurous as some folks! If you click on the photo to enlarge, you can see the serious footwear needed for this type of activity. This was a great spot to stop for hot drinks and snacks. My two bite brownie was frozen so I had to do without but did enjoy my black forest ham sandwich, snap peas and Havarti cheese while we watched the climbers.
After an hour of entertainment here, we took a detour in another direction which brought us to a cave up in the mountain. This seemed a little more at our level. I made it to this point, almost to the cave and I lost my footing and slid to the bottom. The rocks were covered with snow so it was a smooth slide. Funny thing, I checked the stats of our trek on my new Garmin GPS 60CSX and it listed the maximum rate of speed was 14.1 km/hr. That would have been my slide!
Looks absolutely stunning. Thanks for the pics
